The topic Racism (Group 1) was an amazing chose for the time bean, the presentation went great. It begins with biased attitudes, continues with act of bias, next is systematic discrimination, followed by bias-motivated violence and ends with genocide. The group went deep into the topic of racism, but they made it so easy to understand. At the end of the presentation the group presented a game which was based on the presentation on the previous class, this was very entertaining and educational.
The second
topic is Pandemic (Group 2) an incredible topic. They presented not only about
how life change with this pandemic but how it affected our life in a matter of
months. As they explain in the presentation this pandemic changed our lives forever,
even from the way we communicate and socialize with our family, friends and neighbors.
Now we stay in our house only leaving if it is necessary, mask was enforced so everyone
could be safe. Pharmacy and grocery stores still out of stock of most of the important
items like hygiene products, canned food and water were almost non-existing,
almost every person started to panic and made matters worse. Two of the most
bought products during 2020 were Clorox and Lysol which helped clean/disinfect
everything that came in contact with. But even if we do everything as careful
as possible half a million lives were lost during this past 2020.
Continuing with the Pandemic, Education (Group 3) was another campus that were affected the most in 2020. Group 3 spoke about how lives of kids and university students change since March 2020. Everything went online in less than a week having a big impact in the school system which wasn’t prepared for the disaster. Most student are having a hard time trying to stay in track with their classes because staying all day at home without seeing your friend and having presential classes is really hard. Student could barely stay focus in classes, because as it is obvious it is hard to maintain a kid eight continues hours looking at the screen trying to pay attention to class. From the other part group three spoke about High School students being affected tremendously form this Pandemic, senior students principally because they couldn’t experience the best year of high school. The last activity for the presentation was an interesting game most known as Kahoot with a bunch of fun question about the presentation.
